He studied Law and Commerce at Bond University, specialising in Commercial Law and majoring in Finance. From a young age he was driven to start his own businesses, and he has a passion for technology and AI.
Johan Steyn is a Director and Co-Founder of Attsure, and the founder and Managing Director of Attvest Finance. He started Attvest from his home in 2014 and grew it by putting brokers first: clear service, a real feel for how brokerages work, and practical innovation that removes friction for brokers and their clients. Today Attvest is a national premium funding partner for more than 850 brokers across Australia, and in 2026 it was named Premium Funder of the Year at the Insurance Business Australia Awards. Johan brings the same builder's instinct to Attsure: strong relationships, service you can feel, and a push to make placing cover quicker and simpler for Australian brokers.
